San Jose, the technology capital, is not just tall building with bustling offices – instead on our GeoTrek you explore the landscaped greenery of the Guadalupe River Trail and the oasis of Plaza de Caesar Chavez. Your team of 4-5 uses a GPS unit, maps and clues to navigate from the Children’s Museum to the pathways of San Jose State University; your strategy may be to head out to locate caches further afield (and worth more points) or to keep the journey short and find some of the less difficult locations. Self-directed challenges summon problem-solving skills and encourage collaborative solutions. GeoTrek, a fun project management simulation, allows for discovery of emotional intelligence attributes, so relevant for diverse teams in today’s work environments.
